Today’s Good News: Yearly Kos 5, DLC 0

Alternet notes gleefully that 5 of the leading Democratic presidential candidates, including Edwards, Obama and Clinton, will be appearing at the 2nd Yearly Kos bloggers gathering in Chicago this week, while exactly none  showed up at the Democratic Leadership Conference (DLC) gathering last weekend.

While I’m not sure that represents a GIANT change in the political scene, I think it does indicate that a public embrace of the DLC is not considered a ratings enhancer right now, and that is good news.  It is hilarious that Clinton bagged out on her own group.   And if the blogosphere really has that much power, that’s more democracy for everyone.
