Some folks in Minneapolis are building a team of citizen journalists to cover local news. They are also looking to have a big presence at the Republican Convention in Minneapolis and the Democratic Convention in Denver.
While they seem to be pretty driven by presidential politics, they are also covering some important local stories, such as the current strike at the University of Minnesota. A good idea that I hope gains some traction. They’ve already gotten some positive news coverage. Check it out here.
