Today’s Good News: They’re Young, And They Vote
Interesting website I just ran across called Future Majority gives the lie to the idea – often promulgated by the MSM – that young people don’t vote, with a list of 11 points of info for said media. I won’t run em all down for you here, but some of the key points:
- Talking to young voters is not synonymous with “dumbing down.”
- While youth may vote at lower rates than other sectors of the population, there’s more of em.
- Low turnout among youth is partly caused by voting obstacles like not being allowed to register at school rather than at home. Where those obstacles are removed the youth vote goes up.
- Youth are into peer-to-peer communication – pushing celebrities at em don’t do it.
- Your @#$%$# reporting is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Get off it.
